Mississippi rap duo Rae Sremmurd touched down in Toronto last night bringing their SremmLife 2 Tour to the newly re-opened REBEL at Polson Pier.
Along with primary support from Atlanta crooner Lil Yachty, the show began with opening sets from Impxct, Bobo Swae (members of the SremmLife Crew) and Eearz. The energy didn’t stop for one minute as the rappers transitioned smoothly from one set to the next. Yachty was the obvious crowd favourite and performed a whole bunch of tracks including his chart-topping “Broccoli,” “Minnesota,” “1 Night” and “Mase in ’93.”
Rae Sremmurd took to the stage in full form – Slim Jxmmi wearing a giant yellow fur coat and Swae Lee jumping around smashing pineapples. The brothers performed a number of smash hits from both of their studio albums including “My X,” “No Type,” “No Flex Zone” and “Look Alive.” They even brought out Yachty and the rest of the openers for the finale.
