Atlantic Canada rock superstars Partner brought their energetic and joyous live show to Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern on Wednesday night. While they still have almost no released music to their name, the front of the stage was packed with fans waiting to see the high energy show. Partner did not disappoint, with the core duo of Josée Caron and Lucy Niles owning the stage. Caron spent the first half of the set shredding on a massive double necked guitar, while Niles was constantly bouncing around the stage. While a minor technical problem stalled the show for awhile, which I’m now 4/4 with Partner and tech issues, the band smiled and joked their way through the delay. The band took several occasions to thank the audience, with what felt like immense sincerity, for coming out. In return, we were shown one hell of a rock and roll show.
