Bravestation Drake Toronto 2013

Wednesday night I checked out Toronto’s own Bravestation as they released their newest EP IV at the Drake Underground.

As the band settled into their set, the full room was hooked on Bravestation’s dreamy, atmospheric sound.  The sonic mix of Minus The Bear and Thievery Corporation meets The Cure and Peter Gabriel instantly drew me in. Brothers Devin (vocals, guitar) and Derek Wilson (guitar, keyboards) and childhood friend Jeremy Rosessetti (drums, percussion) really bring their self-described “Apocalypse Pop” alive on stage. I would love to hear this band while laying in some grass, soaking up the sun. Keep an eye out for this trio, especially at an outdoor festival.
