KedsWhitney Collection by Jenny Holzer

via KedsWhitney

After generously sponsoring The Whitney Museum of American Art’s summer music series Whitney Live, Keds has teamed up with American artist Jenny Holzer for the latest limited edition KedsWhitney collection of sneaks! The collaboration will be highlighted in both the museum windows on Madison and in the 59th Street Bloomingdale’s windows in New York, wherein three MFA art students will be selected to collaborate and create live art in the Works on Canvas program.

Featuring one of Holtzer’s signature text series called Survival, the shoes are printed with: PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT, and what’s more, the collaboration is sponsoring Whitney Live which will feature acts like Toro Y Moi, Darlings, Bear Hands, Warpaint, Javelin, and Tanlines.

As if it couldn’t get any better, 100% of the proceeds will go to The Whitney, so you’re not only buying a great pair of comfortable timeless shoes, you’re supporting burgeoning American artists and the community The Whitney creates for them.

They range from $70 for the Champion and $75 US for the Champion High, and, if you’re on Foursquare, be sure to check in at the KedsWhitney windows on Madison to get 25% off your next purchase on Keds.com. If you become the Mayor of the windows you get to jump the line and attend sound check at the Whitney Live.

Get your kicks at Keds.com and starting July 8th at select Bloomingdales.
