JAY SOM is the moniker of Bay Area-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Melina Duterte who we’re newly obsessed with due to her new video for “Baybee” which totally hooked us into her world.
She’s releasing her debut Everybody Works next week and dropped a video for album cut “Baybee” in anticipation last week. Directed by Charlotte Hornsby, the video is an adorable snowy psychedelic pop paradise in which Duterte makes her first music video appearance. It’ll make you melt as she sings, “If I leave you alone when you don’t feel right, I know we’ll sink for sure/ I’ll play your game once more if you don’t feel right.”
