As the year quickly draws to a close, Apple, like everyone else, have released their Best Of 2014 list. This annual round-up, features the most popular apps, albums and more of 2014. In Canada, as with the rest of the world Pharrell’s “Happy (From Despicable Me 2), was everywhere, yet Disney’s Frozen dominated iTunes downloads, becoming the #2 selling album of 2014 (including the Oscar-winning theme song Let It Go) while cementing itself as the top-selling iTunes movie of all-time. Additionally, the Frozen Free Fall app was one of the top downloads in the App Store in 2014. If you’re wondering, the #1 album was Taylor Swift’s 1989, the only album to go platinum in 2014. Meanwhile in apps, messaging apps remain popular with Facebook Messenger and Snapchat battling for top spot.
