Hunter has set their sights on Tokyo, opening their second global flagship store in the new Ginza G5 mall in the heart of Tokyo. The store was designed by Creative Director Alasdhair Willis, in collaboration with design agency Checkland Kindleysides, and will take inspiration from Japan as a way for the company to show their respects to the  nation that is one of their most important markets.

To celebrate the opening of the store, as well as mark their 160th Anniversary, Hunter has released 160 pairs of limited edition Original Tall Wellingtons. Each pair feature a gold buckle, while being finished in a high gloss, and are only available in the Ginza G5 location. They are also releasing the Original Refined High Heel Boot in Colbat Blue, which is an exclusive colourway for the Japanese market.

The location itself blends Hunter’s London origins with the energy of Tokyo city, featuring innovative design elements such as  a floating roof, gabion stone walls, topiary hedges, and handcrafted replica silver birch trees that puncture the roof and go down all the way to the first floor. The ground floor features digital screens that will display exclusive content from the brand, including real-time broadcasts from their events around the world.
