Hercules and Love Affair’s Blue Songs

Hawley Dunbar July 29, 2010 Music No Comments

After the splash Hercules and Love Affair made in Toronto on Monday, we’ve got more fantastic news; if you haven’t already heard, they unveiled the name of their new album yesterday!

Blue Songs will feature Kele (Okereke), the wonderfully talented Aerea Negrot, Shaun Wright (who is apparently a fan turned collaborator), and the lovely ever-present Kim Ann Foxman, not to mention the man behind it all, Andy Butler.

The record will be realized via DFA records in January and is produced in part by Mark Pistel and Butler. Always keeping the fans happy, they recorded a special b-side cover of The XX’s “Shelter” with Foxman on vocals  that is due out in November.

Check out this rather rough video teaser of Kele singing “Step Up” with Hercules and Love Affair at Lovebox Festival this year in London.
