Within hours of formally announcing their latest in wearable technology, Google has officially made the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live available for preorder. For a modest price of $249 and $219 respectively, the owner has access to Google’s “Android Wear” OS, which is a scaled down version of Android that is made for your wrist. The only caveat to ordering the Samsung watch over the LG (aesthetics aside) is that the Gear Live is only compatible with a Samsung-made device, whereas the LG G Watch will work with any device running Android 4.3 or higher.
Buyer take note: watch preorders do not begin shipping until July 3rd.
