2011 has definitely been a busy year for Frank Ocean. From having his Nostalgia, Ultra album shelved by Def Jam, to seemingly overnight international sensation with writing credits for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Kanye West, being named GQ’s Newcomer of the Year, all the while stealing my heart, Frank Ocean continues to make take the world by storm with an appearance in Italian fashion bible L’Uomo Vogue. The internationally renown magazine features an in-depth editorial on the Odd Future crooner accompanied with photography by photographer-director Nabil Elderkin who also shot Ocean’s video for “Novacane.” The article delves into the breakout year, his musical influences, cultural and society issues and politics. It’s definitely worth the read.
