A couple weeks ago psychedelic glam-pop act Foxygen surprised us and retuned with the wonderfully dramatic and grandiosely sweeping track “America“, the first new track since their since 2014 album …And Star Power. Now, the duo made up of Sam France and Jonathan Rado, have announced the upcoming release of their new album, titled Hang, which features a 40-plus-piece symphony orchestra arranged and conducted by Trey Pollard with help from Matthew E. White. With this news comes the Hang‘s lead single, “Follow The Leader” and a video to match. The video is a joyous romp featuring some follow the leader action that ends in a dance party. The video was directed by Cameron Dutra who also directed Foxygen’s wonderful “San Francisco” video. As the band explained of the song in a press release…

“it was a blast to make! It’s a positive anthem, with some lyrical scenarios we don’t quite understand.”

Watch the video for “Follow the Leader” above.

Hang will come out January 20th on Jagjaguwar. Pre-order it here + check out the album art and tracklisting below. Foxygen are also heading out on a North American tour spring 2017, dates listed below.
