First Look: Pendleton’s The Portland Collection

Hawley Dunbar January 3, 2011 Fashion No Comments

I’m a huge Pendleton fan if you haven’t already noticed so naturally when I heard they were planning to launch a contemporary line for men and women this fall, I was ecstatic!

The Portland collection promises to be a more fashionably progressive line than their classic pieces steeped in Americana and is set to preview later this month at New York’s Ace Hotel for release in the fall. The line, designed by three young Portland-based designers (one of the is the costume designer for The Decemberists), will use the traditional Pendleton patterns as a launching pad for the pieces targeting a younger more urban bridge market. Above is the first sketch released to the public of the collection and we can’t wait to see what else is coming!
