After releasing several short video previews, Queens of the Stone Age have collected all their creepy animated videos into a 15-minute short film. The band released individual videos for the … Like Clockwork tracks “I Appear Missing”, “Kalopsia”, “If I Had a Tail”, “Keep Your Eyes Peeled”, and “My God Is the Sun”. Made by UK artist Boneface, who also designed the bands new album cover, and features animation by Liam Brazier.
…Like Clockwork is out on June 4.

Last summer I found this incredible floral print pleated maxi skirt at a consignment shop, it was about two sizes to big and maxis aren’t my favourite, so I decided to take in and have my seamstress transform it. It’s one of my favourite things to do with vintage finds, especially when it’s a print that reminds me of my grandmothers rather daring 60s wallpaper.

Once it was transformed I pretty much lived in it for the last few weeks of summer so I thought I’d bust it out last weekend and go for a stroll. I paired it with a simple white cable knit sweater from Joe Fresh, my go-to Marcela Miista yellow wedges which are oh-so comfy, my neon orange Cambridge Satchel, and my favourite crystal necklace from local designer Wild Moon.

Such a comfortable transitional look that you can take from day to night quickly with a leather jacket or blazer and a quieter bag.

Late last week Nokia announced the introduction of their pretty nifty Nokia Music program to Canada. The already highly acclaimed free music streaming service is available in the States and is exclusive to the Nokia Lumia smartphones and features over 18 million songs. Not bad for a brand new music streaming feature.

Nokia made their announcement at the Air Canada Centre just ahead of a sold-out live performance from The Killers. Featuring acclaimed Canadian music historian Alan Cross, who waxed poetic about the future of music, and consumer behaviour before demonstrating the ease with which one can use the new music service.

“Technology has shaped the listening behaviour of many Canadians and transformed the music industry by giving music lovers more listening choices. However, with so many options and so much music out there, it’s easy to get overwhelmed (and even discouraged) when it comes to discovering new music,” said Cross, “What Nokia Music offers is a seamless, easy-to-use way to listen to new and old music, all with a touch of a button.”

One of the main features of Nokia Music is Mix Radio. Consumers can stream free music from a suite of more than 150 exclusive playlists that are hand-crafted and curated by a dedicated staff. Or each person can create their own personal soundtrack by selecting up to three artists via the Nokia Music ‘CREATE’ function, which taps a library of millions of songs and generates a playlist based on, and inspired by, the artists they love.

To further enhance and personalize each individuals music experience, Nokia Music’s ‘GIG FINDER’ allows you to find live shows taking place nearby, and even allowing you to purchase buy tickets, find the venue with HERE Maps and get directions – all from within the Nokia Music app.

Overall the Nokia Music app is a brilliant music service that highlights Nokia’s very serious commitment to providing their costumers with the highest quality  product. The only downside, is that you need to own a Nokia phone to utilize the Nokia Music app. It’s a dangerous Catch-22, so hopefully Nokia can continue to put out high quality smartphones to rival the iPhone and Android phone markets.

The Nokia Music app is available for download now to all Canadian Lumia owners from the Nokia Collection in the Windows Phone Store.

Welcome to your new summer dance jam from Toronto Montreal synth duo Prince Innocence. Formed from Little Girls’ Josh McIntyre and his gorge blonde girlfriend Talvi Faustmann, the band recently dropped their first EP called Lapse back in April and now they’ve released a Jason Harvey-directed video featuring the duo in what looks like their apartment dancing and playing music.

Sydney trio MOVEMENT have released a new chilled track in a similar chilled vein of SBTRKT, Disclosure, and The xx, and to be honest, we kind of love it! It’s called ”Feel Real” and is the first single they’ve released since they signed to the good Aussie label Modular.

Always the showman, Kanye West has unveiled the album art for his upcoming sixth solo LP titled “Yeezus.” The first image features Kanye wearing the brand new red/red Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneaker, the first new colourway after the official two colours were released last summer. The cover features an image of what looks like his famous Jesus piece melted down, with a piece of red duct tape stuck to the side with the title “Yeezus” written in Sharpie on it. Check it out.

Smith Westerns continue to tease at their third full length album Soft Will which is set to drop on June 24th via Mom + Pop. They’ve just shared their fresh rather enlightened opening track “3am Spiritual” following the video for “Varsity” from a couple weeks back.

Topshop presents an interactive short film for their summer campaign starring festival regular Kate Bosworth. Inspired by British festival spirit and Bosworth’s personal style, the Brit brand is launching a 16-piece collection around the energy and spirit of festival style that fans can interact with as well was wear.

Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan had this to say about the collection:

“Kate and I were discussing the summer trends and how she had been one of our inspirations, she was here working with us on our Christmas project – the next day Kate came in with all these incredible images and references and shared what her ultimate festival outfits looked like. It is an organic extension of Kate’s fashion sense aligned with the Topshop brand – We think that’s fresh and exciting.”

Camera Obscura release yet another track off their forthcoming record Desire Lines which is set to drop on June 3rd via 4AD. Late last night Kanye West made hype history performing two new tracks called “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves” off his forthcoming record Yeezus dropping June 18th, on the Saturday Night Live season finale hosted by Ben Affleck following his worldwide premiere of “New Slaves” which was projected on city streets all over the world.

He played his powerful track “Black Skinhead” with projected imagery of angry dogs and a bunch of slogans while screaming and pounding out the vocals, with Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” sampled in the background. For “New Slaves” he only performed the first portion of the track, not the second which featured Frank Ocean.

Octobers Very Own, Drake has released the lineup for his fourth annual OVO Festival in Toronto. This years festival is now two days long, spanning August 4 and 5 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Also announced was performances from James Blake, Frank Ocean, and of course we can expect plenty of special guests appearances. Rumour has it Yeezy may stop by.
