Tucker By Gaby Basora Spring 2010 Lookbook

Gaby Basora has been designing in her Meatpacking district studio since 2005 and takes inspiration from National Geographic magazines, travel momentos, and novels, to emphasize a woman is wearing a garment made by the brave and nomatic brand Tucker.

It all started with one delicious blouse Basora designed to fill a need in her own wardrobe, and after selling all the blouses to her friends and family, word got around to Barney’s New York and viola, Tucker was born.

The Spring 2010 collection couldn’t be more hopeful for the upcoming season, especially as we are currently sitting at -15°C (with the wind-chill). The collection consists of effortless silk dresses, blouses, tapered pants, and simple rompers, all in colourful floral and geometric patterns drenched in colour.

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to look forward to when getting dressed doesn’t require pounding on as much cashmere and wool as you can without looking like a giant blob.
