Yet another highly anticipated Brooklyn-based artist we’re really looking forward to seeing at CMJ this week is the dreamy synth-laden Empress Of, who are set to play an unofficial CMJ showcase on Thursday in Williamsburg (get more details in our handy CMJ preview).
They, or she, Lorely Rodriguez, has released her debut single today called “Don’t Tell Me”, which is already being described as Grimes meets Class Actress on the interwebs.
