There are so many amaz­ingly awe­some things going on in this pic­ture. First off, David Bowie. Amaz­ing! Sec­ondly Mr. Bowie is rock­ing a vin­tage 1980’s Roots jacket (yes, that was when Roots gear was actu­ally made in Canada, and was actu­ally cool). And Finally because he is indulging and and encour­ag­ing read­ing. This slick pic comes from a 1987 Amer­i­can Library Asso­ci­a­tion (ALA) ad cam­paign. I really want an actual copy of this poster.

Bowie is great­ness personified.
