Now you can enjoy delicious one-pour culinary cocktails anytime thanks to the good folks over at Crazy Uncle, and you won’t even have to break a sweat with your shaker on a hot summer day.
Forget all those bad mixers and bubbly headache-inducing pre-made drinks, Crazy Uncle is here to rescue your inner drink snob who just won’t settle for just any old bevi. Blending foodie and cocktail culture into one yummy habit-forming package, Toronto brothers Bruno and David Codispoti worked in collaboration with BarChef owner and magic mixologist Frankie Solarik to create three signature cocktails that can be drunk on their own, with a splash of soda, and even come complete with their own rimming sugars in super cute bottles fitting for any table setting.
Crazy Uncle’s flavours stocked at the LCBO for summer include a refreshing Basil, Honey & Lime Daiquiri and a spiced Cola Bitters Mint Julep. YUM right!? Plus, unlike other one-pour cocktails, they aren’t super sugary sweet, and instead are perfectly balanced so you can sip on them, just as you would a proper cocktail elaborately made by one of your favourite bartenders.
We had a chance to try the two new flavours and our palettes lean more towards the botanical, so we favour the crisp refeshing daiquiri which has notes of basil, elderflower, lime, and coconut, but any brown liquor lover would definitely enjoy the Mint & Cola Bitter Julep which is a spicy mix of cadamom and star anise that’s elevated with the sharp mint flavours. We highly recommend having both at your table setting this summer to satisfy both types of cocktail lovers.
