I’ve been studying all year long (Fall, Winter, and Summer!) for my first year in University.

I’m living in Toronto and I’m planning on going to Montreal for the long weekend with my friend. This would be such a bonus to see one the biggest music festivals of the year in Canada! The line up for Osheaga is fantastic and to see all of them in one location would be a dream.

It would be such an awesome experience to be able to go to Osheaga.
I am a huge music fan and I rarely ever get a change to go to any concerts so being able to go to more than one, in the span of 3 days, would be the greatest experience! Winning would also be a great graduation gift as I’ve recently graduated highschool. Osheaga would also be a great way to vacation with my friends before we all go on to different schools this year.

I will be entering my 4th year in a fine arts program in university this fall; this was supposed to be my final year, but unfortunately my school changed my program entirely and now I will be forced to take at least an extra semester. All I want is an experience to revitalize my spirits, especially concerning the arts. It would be such an amazing experience to see so many of my favorite bands with so many great people. Even just being in Montreal, where an array of fantastic Canadian music is born, would be an experience that I could carry with me my entire life!

It would be amazing to win this contest since it includes more than just VIP passes to Osheaga! This is like the biggest music festival in Canada with such a fantastic lineup of musicians/bands – who wouldn’t want to go?! It would be the highlight of my summer and a fantastic end to it before going back to studies in the Fall!
Hands down the best festival in Canada. Amazing atmosphere, good people and so many good acts on the bill it’s ridiculous. Went the first few years, but painfully had to miss the last few. My heart is in Osheaga. Time for a reunion.

My best friend Tina met her now fiancee in Montreal 2 years ago during our spring break trip. I moved last minute to Toronto from Ottawa last year, it was the BEST hasty decision I have ever made BUT I miss being just a two hour ride from Montreal. I would love to go spend a few days in the city and watch/photograph all the awesome bands I can pack in!
Truthfully, I want to go because of a girl.
If I win this, it would provide all the right elements for a great story of how boy got girl. Here are the details to set up the scene:
- The “girl” is already going. She’s awesome.
- We’ve always had great chemistry but our history is best summed up as when she’s single, I’m not and vice versa.
- She’s going with a group of people, one of which is another dude who’s into her. I know nothing about him so for the sake of drama, let’s just label him “the-baby-hating-bad-guy”.
- I would use the second ticket on a wingman. He’s like Barney meets Marshall from HIMYM (I’m aware this positions me as Ted, which is unfortunate, because he’s the most annoying one).

2012′s been off to a rough start. The details never matter, really. A girl, money, my creative juices… the point is, things are out of whack. Last week I started a new job (it’s great, by the way), I’m writing, I’m back on my art, I’m meeting girls and all that but still nothing’s taken me out of this stale old place yet. Sure I’m changing, but the world around me is the same. I need a reset button. Couple this with the fact that somehow, 25 years on this planet, in this country, only a Hulk-stone’s-throw away from Montreal, and I’ve never been to that fine city. It’s a new beginning, I can’t think of a better way to kick it off!
All you need to know is you’d be lighting the fuse on my summer. If Virgin Mobile wants to beat Virgin Galactic to taking someone out of this world, this is their chance. I’ve got a bunch of boxes of Tang, some velcro and gel pens – all the standard astronaut kit, you know? Sidewalk Hussle, I am ready for liftoff.
