Everyone’s favorite party girl Charli XCX is back with her new track “After The Afterparty.” After working with PC Music affiliate SOPHIE for her crisp, experimental pop Vroom Vroom EP that dropped earlier this year, the two linked up again to create a more toned-down, accessible pop track that truly captures the essence of churning through an endless weekend of partying. “After The Afterparty” is a radio friendly sing-along track with feel good chorus, and some bizarrely relatable lyrics like “Ice cream for dinner/Bucket of liquor/We’re getting sicker” and “I got glitter in my underwear like it was Studio 54” (we’ve all been there, right?).
To keep good vibes coasting, Lil Yachty makes a well placed drop midway through the track. From that point on, the song builds through some incredible bridges until it comes together to explode into the final, roaring chorus.
