Much to our liking, Chanel’s space-inspired fall/winter 2017 collection saw lots of twill, tweed, metallic and embroidery.

The theme? “It’s a journey through the sky, to the heart of constellations, in the wake of the astronaut Thomas Pesquet,” Karl Lagerfeld said, referring to the sky-high metallic silver booties and crystal-embellished headbands worn by each model.

Black and silver fingerless gloves adorned the hands of several models, while the others donned a large statement-making silver choker or the new Gabrielle bag in the coolest metallic silver (we’re obsessed). The collection itself saw a predominately neutral colour palette, with grey, black, white, navy and beige dominating the runway.
