Beauty How To: Lavender Lids

How To Lavendar Lids

Nudes and pastels are always two big trends that make an appearance for the spring season. We saw Taylor Swift and Rachel McAdams rocking those perfect lavender lids on the red carpets already so we thought we’d take the time to teach you how to recreate this yourself! Follow along step-by-step below!

1. If you have oily skin remember to apply a eyeshadow primer to avoid any creasing. To start, using a falt head brush, take a shimmery lavender eyeshadow of your choice, (tapping off any excess product) and apply it to the entire eyelid.

2. Taking the same eye shadow, apply it to the crease of the eyelid using a blending brush. You’re going to want to take the shadow high enough, so that when you open your eye, you’re able to see the lavender hue. When in doubt, keep blending your shadow. Lines are never cool.

3. Taking the same eye shadow again, apply a very small amount on the bottom lash line using an angled liner brush. Buff this out using your blending brush.

4. Taking a black mascara of your choice, apply two coats to both the upper and lower lashes.

5. Fill in brows where you need, using a brow pencil and/or shadow similar to that natural shade of your eyebrows. Hold your brows in place by combing through them in an upwards motion with a clear brow gel.

6. Taking a tinted moisturizer of your choice, apply to the entire face using a stippling brush. The stippling brush will allow for a more natural-looking application.

7. Apply concealer (1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone) to the center of the face, under eyes, sides of nose and chin. Blend the concealer with the same stippling brush, used for the foundation.

8. Apply a translucent powder to set the face. Then, take a rose-pink blush and apply lightly to the apples of the cheeks. If the blush has a bit of shimmer, even better!

9. Finish off the look, with a muted pink lip gloss!
