It’s Adele season and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Her new single “Hello” is everywhere and now she’s gracing the cover of Rolling Stone make-up free in a bathrobe. The cover story is titled Adele: Inside Her Private Life and Triumphant Return. In it, Adele opens up about her life since 2011’s smash hit 21, being a mother, her next about 25 and more. On if “Hello” was still about that old ex of hers she said…

“If I were still writing about him, that’d be terrible. ‘Hello’ is as much about regrouping with myself, reconnecting with myself…It sounds a bit morbid, like I’m dead, but it’s actually just from the other side of becoming an adult, making it out alive from your late teens, early twenties.”

She talks about life with her son and pulls the curtain back on the making of 25. For the new album Adele collaborated with Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Sia, Bruno Mars, Danger Mouse, and Tobias Jesso Jr. but things did not go well with Blur frontman Damon Albarn (who told the press after that she was “insecure”). Adele told Rolling Stone…

“It ended up being one of those ‘don’t meet your idol’ moments, and the saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up. But it was sad, and I regret hanging out with him… None of it was right. None of it suited my record. He said I was insecure, when I’m the least-insecure person I know. I was asking his opinion about my fears, about coming back with a child involved — because he has a child — and then he calls me insecure?”

In terms of music she listens to, Adele likes FKA Twigs & Alabama Shakes and snuck into the crowd for Kanye’s set at Glastonbury. She also accidentally has matching tattoos with Lana Del Rey. And like the rest of us, she can’t wait for the new Frank Ocean…

“I’m just fucking waiting for Frank fucking Ocean to come out with his album. It’s taking so fucking long.”

Oh and she loves Rihanna…

“Oh, God. She’s life itself, isn’t she? I love her.”
