ato “Studded” Cow Hide Boots – White Colourway

via highsnobiety

A couple month ago we showed you the sicker then sick ato Cow Hide Boot in black, we can now show you the white alternative. As we said then studds are the new black, and although this isn’t exactly true in this case the sentiment is the same, making these sneakers slick as F**k. The different sized and shaped studding along the shoe adds a real kick to an otherwise flawlessly design high top. These sneakers are available at Japanese boutique Rowgage.

Charlotte Gainsbourg for FLAUNT magazine

Charlotte Gainsbourg gets up close and personal this month in the fantastic alternative magazine FLAUNT. Looking impossibly french, Gainsbourg talks about her most recent success collaborating with Beck on her amazing new album IRM, written in the months following emergency brain surgery after a freak water-skiing accident. In French IRM is MRI, which of course refers to her numerous visits to an MRI machine during her recovery.

Check out the editorial shoots accompanying the article.

Mayer Hawthorne “Green Eyed Love” Music Video

This is my favourite song off of the stellar Mayer Hawthorne debut record A Strange Arrangemen. “Green Eyed Love” on first listen, lyrically the song appears to suggest a tempestuous, ill-advised green-eyed girlfriend type, but as you watch the video you quickly realize this isn’t the case. Rather, Mayer takes a trip down absinthe lane, which at first seems like an awesome ride but quickly turns into a sweaty nightmare. The video certainly recalls and draws upon the 1970’s influence felt so thoroughly throughout the album and at times you almost forget that this video was just released and not drudged up from some basement archive. As you watch the video you almost feel bad for the guy, and want nothing more then to hand him a towel, especially considering he has the nicest outfit on, and you would honestly hate to see him ruin it.  But as is often the case our musical hero pulls through and everything is okay, but he will probably be extremely hungover the next day. Do watch this video, I really must insist and while you are at it check out the vinyl single here of this song and the accompanying remixes. I love the emerald green of the record, these guys always put out awesome vinyl you may recall the heart shaped record from the video  “Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out.”

Megan Fox’s Motorola Super Bowl Ad

If you were one of the few who did not watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, then you no doubt missed all the exciting, new commercials that every multi-national, mega corporation debuted yesterday. So we here at Sidewalk Hustle are happy to present to you the ads we found most interesting, neat, or tantalizing. This advertisement features a wet, presumably nude Megan Fox in a bath tub sending a picture of herself out to the world on her new Motorola phone. After uploading the revealing picture everyone’s life comes to a standstill, so to speak. Watch the commercial, it is actually pretty funny.

Rugby Ralph Lauren Spring 2010 Look Book

via Rugby

With Spring hopefully just around the corner, Rugby Ralph Lauren presents to us a few new looks from their upcoming collection for the 2010 season. For this season, Rugby Ralph Lauren drew upon classic and vintage sports uniforms for their inspiration, resulting in English cricket styled jackets, varsity striped sweaters, and a series of fleeces.  Overall the collection is consistent and the use of cream and navy throughout the line adds a certain distinguished quality to the clothes.  Personally the cream coloured sweater looks stunning on the female model, who looks glowing in the center picture below, but someone should have asked her to hangup her phone as it takes away from the overall look of the shoot.

Coca Cola & The Simpsons Super Bowl Ad 2010

Well it is the second Sunday in February and that means its the Super Bowl. A day synonymous with beer, chips, dips, and a whole slew of brand spanking new advertisement campaigns, oh and football as well. First up of the new ads is Coca Cola who teamed up with The Simpsons to bring us a two minute mini cartoon of our favourite of Springfieldian characters. The ad is loosely entitled “Hard Times” and features most notably greedy billionaire C. Montgomery Burns as he faces the loss of his fortune and all his worldly belongings. Whilst wallowing in poverty-stricken despair he learns to appreciate lifes simple pleasures like friends, family and of course a Coke!

Thank you Coca Cola!

Delorean – New Album & Album Art & Tracklist!!!

via pitchfork

Last year, the Spanish band Delorean released Ayrton Senna, a beautifully crafted synthpop EP that left us wanting for more.  This year, our favourite little house group will follow up the almost flawless Ayrton Senna (#2 on our Top 10 of 2009’s honourable mentions), with a full-length album entitled Subiza.  There’s no official North American release date as of yet, but the LP will drop in Europe on March 15 so we can expect something around that time with already a handful of  planned single releases with remixes from folks like Tanlines and Tiedeye.  But wait, there’s more! Subiza will be mixed in New York by audio-engineer Chris Coady, the man responsible for the flawlessly rendered Yeah Yeah Yeahs and TV on the Radio albums, AND Delorean will be embarking on a North American tour, and opening up for Miike Snow, here in Toronto.  OMFG!!!

Checkout the cover art above, and the tracklist below.

Subiza:

01 Stay Close
02 Real Love
03 Endless Sunset
04 Grow
05 Simple Graces
06 Infinite Desert
07 Come Wander
08 Warmer Places
09 It’s All Ours
